Mujeres de la Yuka invite you to celebrate Spring Equinox with us.

This Spring Equinox brings us a new moon combined with a solar eclipse. That is one awesome dance of the stars in the skies! What a great time for sky watching and of course for ceremonies of new intentions and celebration. With this in mind, Bohio Atabei Mujeres de la Yuka will have several  special events this weekend.

Water Ceremony at 6:45 PM

at exactly 6:45 PM (Meeting at 5:45, Riverside Dr. & 158^th st. 

At 6pm we will be walking to Riverside Park to the area after the baseball field, 6:45 pm ritual begins:
Water Blessing for World Peace and love during the
Super Moon solar eclipse. This is an auspicious
time; we will be bathing in the love of The Earth Mother. Come prepared to embrace the river.
What to Bring:  Flowers, your offering and healthy snacks

45th Annual UN Peace Bell Ceremony

RSVP with The Earth Society Foundation.

Ceremony will take place at the Zen Garden and/or in your own homes at 6:45PM EST. Together with dignitaries and civil society, we will observe nature's moment as citizens of Earth. We will recognize that "we are one human family and have only one Earth." This tradition marking the moment of the Spring Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere and Autumn in the Southern Hemisphere has been observed for 44 consecutive years at UN Headquarters. March 20, 2015 will mark its 45th anniversary at the United Nations.

New Moon and Celebrating Mother Earth Ceremony! At Inwood Hill Park by the nature center.  Join us! Bohio Aatbei Mujeres De La Yuka for drumming, songs and spoken word as we celebrate the Spring Equinox.

Please arrive no later than 11:30 am for 12 noon offering and ceremony of flowers.
* Grandmothers will hold a cleansing ritual/ limpias at 2PM

Directions to Inwood Park: By car: From the West Side Highway: Take the Dyckman Street exit. Follow the exit as it merges with Broadway. Drive North on Broadway to 218th Street. Take a left on 218th Street and drive west on 218th Street. The entrance to the park is at the end of the street. The Nature Center is located in Inwood Park.
From FDR/East River Drive: Take the FDR/East River Drive north to end. The end of the highway is at Dyckman Street. Bear left on Dyckman Street. Take Dyckman west to Broadway, and take a right on Broadway. Proceed north to 218th Street and make a left turn. Public transportation: Take the 1 or the 9 train to the 215th Street stop. Walk North to 218th Street. Take a left and walk on 218th Street. The entrance to the park is at the end of the street. The Nature Center is located in Inwood Park. OR Take the A train to 207th Street. If you are in the last car of the train (near the handicap elevator), proceed west to Seaman Avenue, then north to Isham Street. If you are in the first car of the train, you will exit onto Isham Street. Go west to Seaman Avenue and proceed north into the park, keeping the baseball field to your right. Walk towards the Water.
