A message from the
Bohio Atabei Mujeres de la Yuka.
The Bohio Council of Grandmothers stands in solidarity with the indigenous principles of respect and truth.
We give respect to those who give us respect. We work with all Tainos who walk with honor in the way of the ancestors.
We recognize the autonomy of the individual chosen leadership of different Taino groups and or organizations as well as those of all of our native relatives...
We work for the people not for individuals and or individual groups.
We expect the same considerations in return... Nothing more and nothing less.
Let it also be known we respect the input of others and are always willing to listen however we reserve the right to make our own decisions weather others agree or disagree with our decisions is not incumbent upon our rights to do so.
Note: The colonial patriarchal mindset is not our way nor will we allow it to be forced upon us.
Our Spiritually is grounded in the ways of our ancestors and we will not allow anyone to dictate their ideologies, beliefs, or doctrines upon our circle .We answer only to the Great Spirit….and it is only to the Great Spirit that
We look to for guidance and answers.
