With Respect to New Year

With respect to New Year
The Gregorian calendar became the world standard in 1582. Before this point, there were many more cultural calendar traditions than are in use today. Generally speaking, these calendrical lineages were nature-based, highlighting the changing seasons of one's local lands. Also, these maps of time connected people to their sacred relationship to time, elucidating cycles that united the microcosm of one's life with the macrocosm of the Universe. Nowadays, it seems that our sense of time is largely divorced from a connection to Nature's cycles, and that in many ways we have lost touch with the sacred and magical dimension of time. For the most part, we have been conditioned with a linear sense of time, and have come to accept the emptiness of the 12 Gregorian Calendar months which do little to inspire our connection to the larger Universe. So Relatives enjoy the moment but do not forget who you are.
Stay connected to the ways of your ancestors , 🌎 Mother earth and this magnificent universe.

Bemagutihibenali Karaya Ceti * A Time of Universal Balance

This full Moon which we call La Luna del Ceti because of the tiny fish that usher in the dry season for our Caribbean Islands and sets in motion the harvest of the yuka and other beautiful things is an important time for ceremony as we also celebrate the change of season.
As such the ceremonies our ancestors taught us that help mark the revolution and tilt of our Atabey  and  the environmental  changes that come with her are also enhanced by the beauty and force of Ata Karaya.

Now in our traditions the  Solstices open the door of  the male ( Fire ) energy as the  Equinoxes and the full Moons are the doors of the female ( Water ) energy.
So it is this winter solstice /dry season for us means the fire of change and the life in the flow of water Two powerful forces of creation itself will once again dance in harmony as the beauty and force of creation at its best . In their dance they continue to ignite our spirits with the sparks of light from past wisdoms learned from the flame within our souls and warm the waters of  new wisdoms to come for future life.

This is also an excellent  time via the fires of our ceremonies  and our traditions that teach us that connection to our ancestors  are very important and  we can surrender our hearts to the spiritual knowledge we receive through  them and from their direct revelations . So it is that during these special moments we must dance with them in ceremony.
This is and was the way of our  Aracoeles our Nargutis and for others as well as this is the OLDEST spiritual tradition on the planet .

These ancient ways show us we can effect our lives by not only connecting to our ancestors  but , by moving energy with our minds in ceremony and prayers and feeling the earth as a living being.
Thus the winter solstice embraced by the fire that gives lite to Ata Karaya is a time for  joint ceremony for male and female together as families and whole yukayekes :)
A Beautiful time for balance to reign in the skies above us ,with us and in us.

It is a time to celebrate the Yuka ,the Sacred Tobacco ,sweetgrass and other medicines and a time to  spiritually connect to this magnificent universe
Keep to mind nearly every tradition has some way of doing this and ours has been here since time immemorial.
This period of total balance is a good moment to reawaken the ancestral  memory written in your DNA ,especially now for we are living in a time of stress and disharmony caused by those who would use their fire to destroy life rather than lite the way to a better tomorrow.

As such we will need strength of spirit  for we will  soon again enter into a period of time where Ata Karaya will help her sister Bibi Itibakahubaba manifest herself as Apito,Mamona,Guamazoa in the greatest of her roles as Atabeira.
Rivers will rise oceans will move with the power of Atabey ,mountains will shake and mankind will be forced to respect her power and her magnificence or become extinct .
This release of her power will begin when Ata karaya dances with the Iguanas in the next full Moon as the forces of creation realign their energies . In the celestial dance during this winter solstice  the forces of life prepare themselves and so should we.

So it is daughters of Atabey that you must use your collective and individual power of thought  that men will respect life and learn they can not destroy it. Mankind must stop the abuse of mother earth.
Mankind must extinguish the fires of hate and greed or drown in the seas of self destruction.
Let the minds of the leaders of the world be open to understanding ,compassion ,respect and love for the forces of life.
To all the Indigenous daughters of  Bibi Atabey and our relatives I say We must prepare our people  by helping them be strong of spirit for only strong spirits can ensure the future for our present and yet to be born generations.

Keep to mind the power of collective thoughts that can generate both positive and negative energy :) So fill your hearts and your minds with thoughts that will bring about good. When we all do this the power of your female and male charge will help  not just you but others as it dances in the  constant force of creation to maintain the harmony of balance in our magnificent universe and all life on our beautiful Mother Earth.

With Love this is my Full Moon message for all of you on this
Bemagutihibenali Karaya Ceti  2018
Stay strong stay connected love and respect each other .

Abrazos Ata Bibi Inaru.

Winter Solstice Dec 21,2018 in the words of one of our young millennials

This is an excellent posting by a Taino young man from Yameyeka ( Xamaika)
Husband of a true beauty Ronalda and a first time father to a beautiful little butterfly .
Well on his way to being a great medicine person I share with you his words with
respect to winter solstice
He wrote.

" I have been gathering information on the season, and connections to animals , constellations etc that were observed by our ancestors and Today would mark the start of the DRY SEASON.
Still have more research to do but felt to share a dream I had last night that connected many dots for me.
Our ancestors believed that the sun and moon came from a cave called Iguanaboina , in this cave there was also the cemi of Marohu (Without clouds) and Boinyael (Son of the grey serpent / rain).
The Iguana for our ancestors was connected to the sun the spine on its back the rays and interestingly enough the dry season is the mating season for Iguanas timed so that there young will be born during the rainy season additionally the snake and the moon is connected to waters / rain / wet season.
It was during this time of the dry season that our ancestors would interact with the twin Cemino of Marohu and Boinyael, In my dream I was told that it is time to unfasten the hands or Marohu and bind the hands of Boinyael until the Tona (term from Relaciona of Fray Ramon Pane to describe in our ancestral myth the children that were turned into frogs and were connected to the coming rainy season) are seen before dawn - The tona in the night sky is the Pleiades star cluster.
During this Dry season we :
Harvest Yuca (Cassava)
Plant cohiba (tobacco)
Harvest Mani (peanuts)
+ today we harvest sorrel (hibiscus flower)
Hunt Queen Conch
So I wish you all blessings on this start of the dry season, much to be thankful for and to look towards.

I added a short message with a picture to all reading his words as I do here.

Love my skirt :)

I love long skirts I love how they gently flow across the face of mother earth with a quiet kiss for her .
I love walking in a circle of power ... for as you walk the shadow of your skirt forms a circle where you are standing in the center
Abuelo Sol then smiles and reminds you of how special and how sacred you as a giver of life mujer Like Abuela Luna who is luminous in her fullness and round like so many other celestial bodies in our magnificent and beautiful universe , may you also form many luminous circles in your very own journey around the sun.
Haci es que Wear your skirts with respect for yourselves. See how the shadows they form around you remind you of the circles of life . Walk quietly in wisdom and strength of spirit in those circles and bring honor to your people in the way of your ancestors . Walk with love upon mother earth mis hijas and she in turn will love you. Love you Full circle 💖💗🙏
Ata Inaru.
