In Memory of Elder Carmen LaGuerre

Invite for any Taino in the NYC area to honor an elder who has passed to Coabey. Family requesting Taino dancing for part of the wake service. Irma LaGuerra is a long time Indigenous educator and cultural advocate. Her Mom Dona Carmen loved our dances and attending Powwows. For many years she taught the youth how to cook our traditional foods. So if you are in the Bronx tomorrow night or live in the city- please come on out. Dance begins at 7pm. Doors open at 6pm.
