Anacaona. Noble indigenous princess, the first indigenous heroine of Kiskeya when the entire Island was known to our Taino ancestors as Haiti.
She was this brave Tekina woman, mother, and wife of Kacique Canoabo.
The island of Haiti was invaded, colonized, and named by Columbus as Hispanola / Santo Domingo. Then divided between the Spanish and the French by order of the Vatican, the cradle of the religious who together with the monarchies of Europe began and were responsible for the initiation of the genocide imposed on the indigenous peoples of all our lands. In short all of the Americas. And even more because as they also started the inhuman traffic of the children of Africa marking them as if they were property and together with the indigenous peoples enslaving them.
In these thoughts today we are going to celebrate aloud all the indigenous women who have written in their DNA not only the sadness of Colon's legacy but also the bravery of being strong Indigenous women who have given and still give life to a beautiful and Noble people like and same as ours.
The indigenous First Nations of the Caribbean, Arawak, Araguasku, Kalinago,Macoris, Boricuas, Taino Indigenous people who still live in each of us their descendants today. ..
Today we the women of this circle remember this Noble Woman not as princess but as a Tekina (Teacher) a Guaribo (Warrior) and Kasika ( Chieftess ) who loved her people and gave her life to and was mercilessly killed by the Spaniards after being duped into peace talks with them so they could capture her.
As such it is with respect and honor and love we honor her legacy. May her spirit motivate us to be fierce defenders of the truth, our good values , and our peoples. The Indigenous nations of our Sacred Mother Earth known by so many beautiful names by our people and our relatives.
Our Itibakahubaba ,Zuimaco ,Atabei,Mamona .Pachamama Tonanzin, and everything that comes and has life from her womb.❤✊ We are all Anacaona !!! AROA !!!
